The Ephemeral Trilogy
In a nation that breeds its daughters and buries its sons, one girl rejects her place—and lands in a war between worlds.

I’d merely swapped regulated body parts. I’d traded a crib for a sword. And I didn’t marry a boy from Belgate, but a military branch.

Breeder
An outcast cursed to consume the memories of anything she touches. A woman fated to repopulate the nation's army. A breeder barred from the sword.
Seventeen-year-old Alex Kingsley is determined to evade her marriage contract and a life of prescribed motherhood, even if it means competing in Belgate’s enlistment trials under false pretenses.
But when the netherworld cracks open, Alex is handed a burden far heavier than bending the minds of men. As darkness spills across the land, she must ally with her critics and unleash a curse that was never forged for battle—a curse that now stands between mankind and oblivion.
Ikelos
The prince is missing. Her souls are hungry. And crossing the border may doom them both.

Two months after reclaiming the Interior, Alex Kingsley has become the army’s most valuable asset—and its greatest liability. Her power is extraordinary. Her conscience is inconvenient. And the Command is counting on her to forget the difference.
To make matters worse, Will still hasn’t returned from Rhea. With each passing week, hope feels harder to hold, and though her friends urge patience, waiting feels like a betrayal she can’t survive. But she refuses to abandon the prince—or the only future worth fighting for—so she defies her commanding officers and crosses the Rim with a moral code no one else will honor.
In the bowels of a dying kingdom, surrounded by uneasy allies, she learns that mercy, like love, leaves no one unscathed. And when the mission begins to unravel, Alex must choose: save humanity…or save its soul.
Ve'Rah Daa
They made her an exception, then locked her away for it. He bled for their cause but could never outrun his name.

Now Alex and Will stand trial in the city they saved, and if the Court has its way, the legion they spared will fall with them.
But survival is only the beginning.
With humanity’s final battle closing in, two nations with every reason to hate each other must stand together—and unity hinges on two so-called threats to order, one verdict away from the gallows.
To the west, Regulas moves. He will not stop at victory. He intends to leave nothing behind that remembers a world before him.
And the truth their civilization was built on—carefully buried, fiercely protected—is finally cracking open.
Some wars are won with strength. Some with strategy. This one will take everything they are—and everything they never knew they carried.

This trilogy is just written so beautifully with brilliantly real and sophisticated characters, that you become so immersed into this crazy world…

Such a fantastic debut that every young woman should read. The writing style scratches an itch for me, and Alex is such a layered, entertaining protagonist.
★★★★★
And I thought the first book was good. HOLY CRAP… The author really knows how to deliver an emotional punch in a pretty, clever package.
★★★★★
It gives me the feeling of the 2010s when all of those dystopian/apocalyptic books and movies were coming out… But Breeder feels so much different because it’s truly original.
★★★★★
…stories only get better as their authors do, and this version of Ikelos sent my love for this series into the stratosphere.
★★★★★
Ikelos is a powerful continuation of the series that raises the emotional stakes while expanding both the world and the moral complexity of the story.
★★★★★
A must read for anyone who roots for the longshot and loves action adventures.

Not often a book makes me gasp at clever turns of phrase every other paragraph but this one made me enjoy the craft as much as the story.
I just finished reading your Ephemeral series and I loved it! Especially Alex. She's so strong and loyal. But the thing that makes her different is how she always stands by her values. I don't know if I have ever loved a character as much as I love her! Not only Alex but every one of your characters. They all have their own stories, their own pasts, and they still fight through it and shine. I just love your writing. It makes me laugh, cry, and feel so much. Thank you for sharing these stories.
Within a timeframe of one week, I've read both the first and second book of the Ephemeral and... UGH IT'S DAMN ADDICTING. I've grown fond of the characters, especially Fudge, who made me shed some tears T~T. Also, the relationship between both Alex and Asa progressing OMFL. You really condemned me into an incurable addiction for this series now I CANNOT WAIT FOR BOOK 3 !!!!!!
I've finished this a few days ago and I'm still not ready to let go. I enjoyed it from start to finish. Everything surrounding the storyline was beautifully put together (places, history, the magic), the writing (oh my gosh the writing!!!), the characters, and not forgetting the insane plot twists, deaths etc. I would read bits and pieces in between different tasks. Or sometimes savor it during my alone time. There's so many little details or pieces of things you've thrown in this book that makes me love it even more. Now I'm mad I didn't read this second book slower. Amazing work Erica! You seriously deserve more recognition. I hope this gets published some day, would love to have it on my shelves.
I LOVE your stories. I finished both books (Breeder, Ikelos) in less than 2 days. There wasn't even one minute that I got bored or felt like giving up in this book. Every second captured my attention. I honestly don't know how your books don't have millions of readers and votes. I can't wait to continue reading the rest of Ikelos when you update. I already know that when you finish this series I will be DEVASTATED. I have been on Wattpad for around 6 years now and I can clearly say that your books are honestly in my top favorite books on here. The way you write so fluidly and the character developments are AMAZING. I just can't get enough of it. Sorry for the rant but your books are just THAT AMAZING.
Brilliant adventure! Extraordinary imagination and writing style. Absolutely adore your characters...thank you for sharing your work with us!
